My Story
As a father, spouse, and long-term resident of Fort St. John. I have always felt a deep connection to this community; the energy and spark that is ever present. This connection has led me to want to add my voice to the advocacy that is necessary for families. Having 3 young boys in and going into the school district, mixed with my current and past experiences gives me a unique opportunity to further support the SD60.
I grew up in a unique upbringing, with my immediate family being a mixture of metis and European. My eldest brother having a developmental disability. I have learned that humanity is filled with diversity and judgement. If I can use my position in the community to ensure inclusivity in all aspects; that is my desire. I understand the value of a dollar, as I did not grow up with wealth. I learned how to work hard and with determination, to put food on the table and a roof over my family’s head.
After ten years focused on helping the community meet their financial goals from the banking industry, I now work in technology at Doig River First Nation as the IT Manager. Understanding the impacts of technology and mixing that with a background of fiscal responsibility will allow me to bring fresh ideas to our School District. I hope to work with people from all backgrounds too guide us towards innovation for every child in the district.

In my personal time and while advising through my business (Social Construct Canada), I have been able to work with a multitude of different government ministries, from written correspondence about Mental Health and Addictions in the north, too meetings to discuss the struggles of restorative justice programs in BC via Zoom. At the same time, I have been in live negotiations with government organizations, which will help me assist the SD60 in getting its fair share for our children.

As your Trustee I will be a bridge between the community and the SD60. I will support business and families in the north. I will be
a hard working trustee, and support a strong future for our kids, that we can be proud of.
